From the Greek erythros, red, in reference to the ground color of the carapace and abdomen.
Carapace with some long setae dorsally. Mesial spine of first antennal segment not reaching end of basal segment of antennular peducle (excluding distal spines). Merus of third maxilliped unarmed on extensor margin. Chelipeds with numerous long simple setae; fingers between 1.3 and 1.5 times the length of palm (1.3); palm with row of dorsolateral spines, continuing along proximal 0.6–0.7 of fixed finger. Pereopod 4, merocarpal articulation clearly overreaching front margin of carapace, reaching or overreaching level of sinus between rostrum and supraocular spines. Second and third abdominal somites with 1 main continuous transverse stria preceded by 1 secondary continuous or interrupted striae. Lateral parts of fifth and sixth thoracic sternites with faint short striae.
Females 9.0–9.3 mm.
