Named norfolkae, derived from the type locality, the West Norfolk Ridge.
Carapace with distinct transverse striae, with pair of epigastric and postcervical spines, and prominent median gastric process. Rostral spine stout, longer than supraocular spines. Frontal margins deeply concave. Anterolateral spine of carapace strong. Branchial margin with 4 spines. Abdominal somites 2–4 with 2 transverse ridges, each anterior ridge bearing spines. Telson completely subdivided. Sternite 4 with anterior margin broad, contiguous to posterior margin of sternite 3. Eyes large, cornea strongly dilated. Article 1 of antennule with 1 distomesial and 2 distolateral spines. Article 1 of antenna with long distomesial spine. Mxp3 merus twice as long as high. P1 moderately slender, with a few spines. P2–4 slender; dactyli curving, flexor margin with spine-like setae. P5 propodus with brush of simple setae on flexor margin. No males are known.
Female, pcl. 8.2 mm.
Presently known only from the West Norfolk Ridge; 521–539 m.
