The generic and specific names are dedicated to Alain Crosnier who participated in the expeditions to New Caledonia.
Carapace with distinct transverse striae, without dorsal spines. Branchial margin with 3 spines. Rostrum dagger-shaped, with feeble dentition usually on distal portion; moderate supraocular spine on each side. Lateral limit of orbit unarmed, not produced. Abdominal somites 2–4 each with 2 elevated transverse ridges, unarmed. Telson subdivision incomplete. Cornea dilated. Antennular article 1 with 3 distal spines. Antennal article 1 with prominent ventrodistal process mesially. Sternite 3 relatively wide, posteriorly narrowed. P1 relative massive. P2–4 relatively stout, dactyli flattened mesiolaterally, flexor margin with row of seta-like movable spines. Male P5 without toothbrush-like setae. G1 and G2 present.
Males, 3.9-4.1 mm; females, 3.3-5.0 mm.
